Okay, it's probably because I grew up on the beach. Every day, all day. My summers were spent on the beach. And if I wasn't there, I was at my best friend since birth's house swimming in her pool, all day, or swimming laps at swim team practice and meets. So when I say I was a tan kid, I don't mean, has a little bit of a tan. I mean, my skin was a good 8 shades darker by the end of the summer - which contrasted nicely with my so blonde it was white hair.
Anyway, to the point. I have a slight love of tan lines. There's nothing I love more than coming home from the beach, taking a shower (the smell of beach in the shower is a WHOLE OTHER slight love post), and seeing a good set of tan lines from that day. I know, the sun in gracious amounts is awful for your skin, and raises the chances of skin cancer like a 234934.234234%. I struggle with this all the time. I don't want premature wrinkles, or skin cancer. I've already had 8 moles removed on my back from too much sun to test for skin cancer. Yet still, there's nothing like a good tan. (BTW - I don't mean Snookie orange, I mean a real beach tan.)
That being said. Kids, wear your sunscreen.
Now, off to let the world admire my lovely shorty wetsuit and Teva sandal tan lines from work today.
